700 years ago, Edinburgh Castle fell to a daring attack by troops under Thomas Randolph, Earl of Moray. Randolph explains medieval siege strategy, reveals why this wasn’t an option for him in 1314 and describes how he captured this almost impregnable fortress on its towering rock.
