Ready to Learn

The new term is upon us and Historic Scotland’s 2015/16 programme for schools is now available online. From amazing abbeys to colossal castles our inspirational places provide exciting opportunities for learning across Scotland. School visits to Historic Scotland sites are a great way to deliver Curriculum for Excellence, encouraging discovery and exploration outside the classroom.

Teachers can choose from free self-led visits or our great value activities which provide interactive and memorable learning experiences covering a range of topics. Activities are specifically designed for early years, primary and secondary with flexible options available. We can even help with transport costs through our travel subsidy scheme!

The Learning section of the website provides full details of where you can go, what you can do and a range of downloadable resources to support your visit.
