Linlithgow Palace needs your bright ideasMedia Releases
Historic Scotland is putting together a focus group to look at how it tells the stories of Linlithgow Palace to visitors and local people who use both the Peel and the Palace. Working with research specialists, Interpretaction, Historic Scotland is looking for people who know the Palace well but also people who are less familiar with the Palace or have never visited it before.

Scots scan Mount RushmoreMedia Releases
A team of heritage conservators and digital design experts from Historic Scotland and the Digital Design Studio at the Glasgow School of Art are currently in the Black Hills of South Dakota to digitally record the international heritage landmark, Mount Rushmore. The project is the first international site the team will scan with 3D laser scanners as part of the Scottish 10 - an ambitious five-year project to use cutting edge technology to create exceptionally accurate digital models of Scotland’s five UNESCO designated World Heritage Sites and five international sites.

Historic Scotland announces new research into castle's skeletons following BBC show. A dramatic reconstruction has revealed the face of a medieval knight whose skeleton was discovered at Stirling Castle. This Thursday, BBC Two’s History Cold Case series will attempt to discover the identity of the warrior who may have been killed during Scotland’s Wars of Independence with England in the late 13th and 14th centuries.
