Join our Big Bird Day Out at St Andrews Castle

Come along to St Andrews Castle on Saturday 25th August and take part in our ‘Big Bird Day Out’ activity day.
There will be lots of fun-filled activities for all the family including bird watching with telescopes and binoculars, making bird feeders, Raptor Realm walk, quizzes plus our very special guests the birds of prey from Kingdom of Fife Falconry.
Historic Scotland Rangers, the SSPCA and the RSPB will all be taking part in the event, which is included in the normal price of admission.
The event runs from Noon to 4:00 pm.
Andy Smart, one of Historic Scotland’s Rangers said: “This will be a great day out for all the family with plenty of hands on activities. There should be lots of birds to observe on the rocks and visitors can get up close to birds of prey such as falcons and owls.
“This is a great viewpoint for observing birds and some 40 species, mainly seabirds, are regularly spotted.”
