Enjoy Games and Crafts this Sunday at Dirleton Garden

Come and enjoy a day in the beautiful gardens at Dirleton Castle, East Lothian,
this Sunday, 5th August 2012.
The event takes place from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm
Gillian Urquhart,. Events Manager at Historic Scotland said: ”This is a great day
out for all the family in a really beautiful location. Try your hand at archery and medieval games,
join our Rangers for guided walks in the garden and be inspired by your surroundings and create your
very own colourful masterpiece with the help of our professional artist.”
Dirleton Castle is one of the oldest surviving castles in Scotland and has boasted
a garden probably since its earliest days as a medieval fortified residence.
Today there is a colourful blend of traditional formal gardens and more contemporary
planting, including, as the Guinness Book of Records testifies – the world’s longest herbaceous border.
Adult £7:00, Concession £7:00, Concession: £6:00, Child £4.50.
Family ticket (2 Adults, 2 Children) £20.00
Admission free to Historic Scotland members.
