Historic Scotland Stone Conference rescheduled

17 January 2007

Historic Scotland has announced that the National Stone Conference planned for February will now be held at a later date.

The Building With Stone conference was originally scheduled to take place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow on February 7 and 8, 2007.

Ingval Maxwell, director of Historic Scotland’s Technical Conservation, Research and Education Group, said: “Historic Scotland and others have invested in a lot of research into the way stone continues to be used in the construction industry and we are committed to going ahead with conference later this year at a new venue.

“We regret the inconvenience to delegates who had already bought tickets and made arrangements to come, but look forward to discussing the important issues connected to building with stone once a new date has been established.”

Ticket holders will be contacted to arrange refunds but for more information please contact RICS Events on 0131 240 0831.
