Scotland showcases digital technology in OklahomaMedia Releases
Scotland’s leading innovation in conservation and digital technology will be showcased at the World Creativity Forum in Oklahoma City on 16th and 17th November. David Mitchell, Director of Conservation at Historic Scotland and Doug Pritchard, Head of Visualisation of Glasgow’s Design Studio have been invited to present their work in digitally documenting and visualising cultural heritage. Their work came to international attention when a joint team scanned the four presidents of the United States at Mount Rushmore this year.

Commemorating highland division heroes of the Great WarMedia Releases
Remembrance Day events this weekend at Edinburgh Castle - home to The Scottish National War Memorial - commemorate the role of Scots soldiers of The Great War, and in particular the men of the 51st Highland Division. The castle’s stunning Great Hall is the setting on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th November, from 11am to 3pm, for a series of presentations by costumed interpreters focusing on the heroic deeds of the Division during World War I and the capture of Beaumont-Hamel in northern France on 13 November 1916 during the final stages of the Battle of the Somme.
