Visit Stirling Castle this weekend. See some of the fabulous dishes that Stewart kings and queens would have tucked into when they celebrated Easter at Stirling Castle. Treats like a trout presented to look like it’s swimming up a bed of seaweed, will be displayed on the high table in the Great Hall over the holiday weekend, starting on Friday 22nd April.

A team from Historic Scotland will be in Shetland throughout May to consider which archaeological sites are nationally important and should be protected. This involves assessing sites for possible designation as ‘scheduled monuments’, which means they would be protected by law.
