Historic Scotland launches Diamond Jubilee Ticket Giveaway

Historic Scotland is delighted to offer 60 free tickets to 69 ticketed attractions to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The 30 pairs of tickets will be valid on Monday 4th June 2012 and will include Historic Scotland’s sites from Stirling Castle to Iona Abbey and the prehistoric village of Skara Brae.

£130,000 Historic Scotland Funding Boost for Highlanders' Museum

Bannockburn’s earliest visitors revealed

Traces of a very early visitor to the Bannockburn area have been discovered during archaeological work in preparation for a new battlefield visitor centre. Charcoal has been discovered after an exploratory dig and has been dated to the late Neolithic period.
