Scheduled Monument Consent Fast Track

Historic Scotland is currently piloting a scheme to deal with some minor applications in a streamlined way, which will enable consent to be granted within two weeks of the application being lodged.

The pilot scheme will begin in the new year with the introduction of SMC Fast-track for applications dealing with the replacement of fencing within scheduled areas.  

We will look to add further minor works to the scheme in due course.
