This two-day conference celebrates the materials used to construct Scotland’s traditional buildings. Specialist speakers will outline how fourteen materials have been utilised over time, their geographical variations throughout the country, their properties and examples of their use. The conference is open to everyone with an interest in Scotland’s built heritage.
This event will also mark the formal launch of a new publication of the same title, published by John Donald in association with Historic Scotland.
