Lisa Nicholson
Director of Communications

Lisa joined Historic Scotland in 2008 and became Director of Communications in 2012.

Previously, she worked in the private sector representing a broad range of clients within the property, corporate, retail, consumer, and public sectors throughout the UK.

Lisa is responsible for all strategic communications for Historic Scotland.

This includes public affairs, corporate and commercial activity, internal, media relations, stakeholder engagement and digital communications.

Lisa also looks after the agency's photography unit and is the lead contact for all ministerial and Scottish Government communications handling.

As of April 2012, responsibility for implementing Historic Scotland’s Gaelic Language Plan transferred to Lisa’s team.

Lisa is a communications honours graduate of Edinburgh’s Napier University.
