Linda Ellison joined Historic Scotland as Interim Director of Finance in November 2009.

Linda previously held the post of Director of Finance and Corporate Services with Skills Development Scotland, the Government Body charged with delivering skills interventions and careers information and advice across Scotland.  Prior to this appointment Linda worked for Scottish Enterprise.  She held a variety of posts as a Senior Director with the Scottish Enterprise Network and, in addition to Finance and wider Corporate Services, her responsibilities included operational activities such as skills and learning, physical development projects, and company investment.  

Linda qualified as an accountant with Glasgow District Council in 1987 having undertaken the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy qualifications.
