What are we working on now?
As well as our day to day work assessing proposals for inclusion on the Inventory, and processing requests to review Inventory sites, we conduct other projects throughout the year.
In 2015, the team is busy working on:
- Reviews of existing Inventory sites across Scotland, including Hopetoun House.
A full review is a major piece of work that involves a site visit, a fresh assessment against the Inventory criteria, and research to ensure that revised Inventory records encapsulate any new information that has come to light together with a description of the landscape in its present setting .
Would you like to nominate an Inventory designed landscape for a review? Please check our website for information on proposing sites for assessment www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/gardenspropose
