Bannockburn to Bothwell
On 24 June 1314, Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, defeated the English Army of Edward II at the Battle of Bannockburn. The very next day, Edward Bruce, the king’s brother arrives at the gates of Bothwell Castle to force Bruce to surrender.
