Inchcolm Abbey

Inchcolm Abbey now comprises the best preserved group of monastic buildings in Scotland.  Known as the ‘Iona of the East’ it offers a unique location on a beautiful island with views of the Edinburgh panorama. Cruise from South Queensferry, pass under the famous Forth Bridge and spot the wildlife during the short voyage down to this romantic venue. Seals, Puffins and the occasional Dolphin can be seen. Gardens and sandy beaches.

Venue Details

Rooms:

Refectory
A long narrow room with an arched ceiling and natural light on the first floor. Traditional heavy oak table at the head of this room.  Electrical power available for sound systems.

Chapter House
Dating from the thirteenth century, this room is one of only three in Scotland known to have been built as a centralised polygonal structure.

Capacity:

100 Refectory, 30 Chapter House

Ceremony:

Religious or Humanist

Further information

Options include travelling on a scheduled ferry crossing or privately chartering the vessel for your event.  Departures from other ports are determined by tide times and schedule restrictions
