SEARS (Scotland's Environmental and Rural Services)
The Sears partnership was launched at the Royal Highland Show in June 2008. It brings together nine public bodies aiming to provide Scotland’s rural land managers, with an efficient and effective service. It will provide:
- a streamlined service;
- easy access to information and advice;
- a consistent and responsive service; and
- a service focused on rural land managers' needs.
Historic Scotland is not currently a member of the SEARS family, but is actively engaged in a number of projects and workstreams, and is considering the possibility of engaging more formally with SEARS, building on existing strong links with several of the partner organisations.
