Conditions of contract

Historic Scotland has eight standard conditions of contract which are used for all straightforward purchases and contracts. These are available to download below. These conditions of contract were amended in November 2009 following an announcement which was made during the Business in Parliament conference in June that a new clause would be introduced into Scottish Government contracts to require payment of valid contractor and sub-contractor invoices within 30 days throughout the supply chain of public contracts.

These conditions can be enhanced if a specific contract requires it and for the more complex and high value contracts bespoke conditions are used.
