Celebrating Perth's ArchitectureMedia Releases
Perth’s remarkable architecture is continuing to be recognised as Historic Scotland carries on with work to identify the city’s important buildings and to review existing listings. The south and west of the city centre has already been examined and the team will now be looking at buildings in the north of the city centre.

Orkney voices come together at the Ring of BrodgarMedia Releases
People from across Orkney will be coming together at the Ring of Brodgar next Monday (21st June) as part of the Orkney Heritage Society’s ‘Year o’ Orkney’ dialect. A special ‘Voices in the Landscape’ event has been organised by Historic Scotland’s Ranger service which will celebrate the island’s rich literary and cultural traditions in this iconic landscape through the voices of local people including Harvey Johnston, Cameron Stout, Sheila Garson, Neil Leask and Raggi Ljosland.

Culture Minister Fiona Hyslop met the team of experts who form Scotland’s new Centre for Digital Documentation and Visualisation (CDDV). The CDDV is a new commercial partnership between Historic Scotland and Glasgow School of Art’s Digital Design Studio - using state-of-the-art laser scanning technology and 3D visualisation software to digitally record heritage sites around the globe, and enable virtual access.
