Minister Announces Planning Targets and Improvements

Historic Scotland has been set new targets to deal with 70% of planning applications within 14 days in 2008, rising to 90% in 2009/10. The Agency currently exceeds previous ministers’ target of clearing 97% of all listed building consent applications within 28 days.

Five shiny stars for Dryburgh

The Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme has been operating since 1995, and gives operators an independent quality assurance award and incorporates the inspection of properties for ‘Thistle’ tourist signposting.
