Local talent focuses on Arbroath AbbeyMedia Releases
Friday 2nd November, sees the launch of a special exhibition at Arbroath Abbey Visitor Centre showcasing the photographic talents of local children and adults. The event marks the culmination of the Arbroath Abbey Photography Project, run by Historic Scotland and now in its third year.

Cairngorms national park exhibitionMedia Releases

Cartoon workshops are a Big DrawMedia Releases
Since 1 October, children across the country have been on the search for hidden cartoon characters across over 70 Historic Scotland attractions. However this weekend, the agency is giving visitors the opportunity to create their very own Cartoon Caper with the artist responsible for the cartoons, Alice Druitt. As part of the nationwide Big Draw, Alice will be hosting special drop-in Cartoon Workshops at Edinburgh Castle for one weekend only, teaching children how to turn themselves (as well as some famous historical figures) into caricatures.

Creature ComfortsMedia Releases
Historic Scotland encourages visitors to get beastly at Stirling Castle. Come along and transform yourself into one of the weird and wonderful beasts of Stirling Castle. The outside of the Royal Palace is decorated with a whole menagerie of carved stone creatures from lions and wild boars through to mythical monsters and even a she devil with the tail of a scorpion.
