Duke of Hamilton presented with the Scottish Crown at Edinburgh Castle

First opportunity to see the ceremony of the Scottish Crown being presented to the Duke of Hamilton at Edinburgh Castle.

The Duke of Hamilton signs receipt for the Crown witnessed by each of the Commissioners.  


Historic Scotland staff line the Great Hall in Edinburgh Castle as the Duke of Hamilton carries the Crown of Scotland on the way to the opening of the Scottish Parliament



The Duke of Hamilton leaves Edinburgh Castle with the Crown of Scotland in a Rolls Royce for the procession down the Royal Mile.
