25 June 2012
Come along to the magnificent setting of Linlithgow Palace Peel and enjoy the fantastic, colourful spectacle of jousting.
Hear the thunder of hooves and the crack of lances splintering as our brave knights stage an unforgettable display of horsemanship and skill with swords and lances.
The events will take place over two weekends - Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July and Saturday 7th July and Sunday 8th July, from 12:30 – 4:30 pm.
Gillian Urquhart, Historic Scotland’s Assistant Events Manager said: “These events are hugely popular and make for a fabulous day out for all the family. Come along and cheer on your favourite knight, stroll through the colourful camps and see the exciting foot combat, living history displays, amazing juggler and comedy shows.
“We have a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy including how to dress a knight ready for battle, how to fashion a lethal medieval weapon and how a noble lady of the time would dress.”
