New quiz for kids at Edinburgh Castle
31 January 2013
Edinburgh Castle is launching a new quiz for kids on Friday 1st February 2013 in order to celebrate the Year of Natural Scotland.
The quiz gives the opportunity to discover the animal carvings all around the castle and to learn about the castle landscape.
Nick Finnigan, Executive Manager of Edinburgh Castle said: “‘Why not bring your kids to the castle and try out our new quiz to celebrate the Year of Natural Scotland?
“There are lots of fascinating facts to find out at the castle. Count the sculpted lions which stand above the arch of the Portcullis Gate, find out which creatures stand on either side of the Royal Arms in the room where Kings James VI was born and discover which sort of animal is buried in a cemetery close to Mons Meg.
”Don’t forget to hand in your completed sheet to Visitor information so that we can contact you if you have won a prize.”
View the quiz page on the
Official Edinburgh Castle website for more information.
