The Knockando Woolmill in Morayshire has been in continuous operation since the 18th century and is one of the last remaining mills of its kind in Scotland and indeed, the world. The mill is currently undergoing an extensive programme of conservation and restoration. In advance of these works, TCG, in collaboration with colleagues at the Digital Design Studio, Glasgow School of Art and RCAHMS spent four days in July 2009 digitally documenting the site in its entirety in 3D – from buildings and surrounding landscape, to mill and cottage interiors and even intricate 19th century machinery.
