This year Edinburgh Castle celebrates Christmas with the fun and frivolity of the 16th century:
Meet Mary Queen of Scots and her lady in waiting, Hear about the Daft Days – a time of giddienss, mirth and merriment. Hear how she relaxes and enjoys the festive period, much to the dislike of John Knox!
Meet the soldiers protecting the court as they take residence in Scotland’s primary fortress, hear how they spend their days during the festive period and watch them give a rousing musket display. But you best cover your ears!!
Fun and games - Enter the Palace Vaults and join in with the games of the 16th century , but be warned there are no Xboxes!
Food fit for a Queen – Meet the court and see how they prepare the food for Mary Queen of Scots.
Event is performed in the Great Hall & Laigh Hall:
