Conservation Publications

A full publication list of our conservation publications is available in our  FOCUS magazine.

Free publications include INFORM and SHORT guides for building owners and provide a general introduction to building conservation, repair and maintenance

Conservation books provide the general public and professionals alike with more in-depth informationon on building conservation. These books include Building Scotland and Scotland's shopfronts. Conservation books are available from the Historic Scotland Online Shop.

Refurbishment Case Studies describe practical upgrade works to sensibly improve the energy efficiency of traditionally constructed buildings, and Technical Papers present recent technical and scientific research results.

Guides for Practitioners and other reports are aiming at conservation professionals and are available from the Historic Scotland Online Shop.
