Competition
How to enter
Please ensure each entry is labelled with your
name, address, telephone number and email and the name of the sculpture or street where the photograph
was taken. You must be 8 or over to enter, and all entries under 16 should be marked accordingly.

The
closing date for entries is
31 March 2012. Images will be judged
by a panel made up of the Historic Scotland Listing and Designed Landscapes and Photography teams, as
well as a member of the Fife Foto Group committee.
Categories:
J
unior
Photographs taken in and around Glenrothes by children under the age of 16.
Senior
Photographs taken in and around Glenrothes by people aged 16 and over.
Prizes
Each
category winner will receive a year’s membership to Historic Scotland and £50 in vouchers redeemable
at the Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes. Second place winners in each category will receive £25 in vouchers
redeemable at the Kingdom Centre and a free single entry to a Historic Scotland property.
Winners will be announced 1 June 2012 on our website.
Terms
and Conditions
:
1. An entrant can submit a maximum of three photographs.
2.
Entries must be taken in or around Glenrothes and feature Town Art.
3. All images
must be submitted as digital files.
4. Digital images should be high resolution (you
should use the highest setting possible on your camera) and submitted by email or on CD. Each image
should not exceed 6MB in size.
5. Images may be enhanced only to remove spots or scratches.
6. All entries are sent at the photographer’s risk and Historic Scotland cannot accept liability for
damage or loss. Entries will not be returned to entrants. All photos must be legally obtained, with
permission if appropriate.
7. Entrants must be the sole author and owner of copyright
for all images entered.
8. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains
with the respective entrants. Where an image is used, the photographer will be credited. However, in
consideration of entering the competition, each entrant grants Historic Scotland and Fife Council a
licence to feature competition images in the publication, website and promotional material including
social media connected to Historic Scotland or Fife Council.
9. Images from the competition
will be used in an public exhibition to be held in the Rothes Hall, Glenrothes from 2 July to 9 August
2012, and may possibly be displayed in other public venues subsequently.
9. The competition
is not open to employees of Historic Scotland or Fife Council.
10. Winners will be notified
by 1 June 2012.
11. Historic Scotland reserves the right to cancel this competition or
alter any of the rules, if necessary.
12. If the winners are unable to be contacted after
reasonable attempts, Historic Scotland reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up or
to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
13. The rules are governed by the laws
of Scotland.
14. The decision of the judges are final.
