Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme

This fund provides financial assistance for area based regeneration and conservation initiatives undertaken by local authorities.

Assistance is either through support to establish a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) or through support for a Heritage Lottery funded Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI).

Funding

Since 2005, there have been four CARS application rounds and the successful applicants are listed below.  There are no current plans for a further round of CARS but should this change, we will write to all local authorities to advise them of this.
