Voucher Incentive Programme

If you bring regular group business to Historic Scotland attractions you can apply to become a member of our Voucher Incentive Programme (VIP).  This is a credit facility which allows your voucher to be used as method of payment.

The programme operates on the basis that participating tour operators submit a two-part voucher on arrival at our properties. Our Steward will retain the first part of the voucher (which cannot be returned) to be forwarded to our accounts branch for invoice purposes, while the 2nd part is returned to the group leader as a receipt.

Membership benefits include a standard 10% discount on groups of 11 people or more and one tour leader will be allowed free of charge per group.  You will be invoiced monthly for your visits, and once you are a member of the VIP your voucher will be accepted at all Historic Scotland sites. There is also a specialised booking system for Edinburgh Castle for VIP members to ensure that bookings are confirmed quickly and efficiently, and a dedicated groups area to ensure that voucher admissions are processed without having to go to the Ticket Office.

Individual Explorer Pass

If your clients are touring Scotland and want to visit a number of Historic Scotland attractions, the flexibility of the Explorer Pass is designed to fit round their itinerary.  The Explorer Pass offers fully independent travellers one of the most cost effective ways to experience Historic Scotland attractions and the benefit of fast track entry at Edinburgh Castle. Commission is available on Trade Sales of the Pass at a very competitive rate - please contact the Travel Trade Team for further details.

Explorer Passes are valid for 3 Day (over 5 days), 7 Day (over 14 days) and 10 Day (over 30 days).
*The 10 Day pass is available exclusively to the trade.

Group Explorer Pass

The Historic Scotland Group Explorer Pass offers you the same great benefits as our Individual Explorer Pass and saves you the trouble of issuing and validating individual passes for each of your clients.  Instead of giving each member of your group individual Explorers to access the sites you can now issue just one pass to cover everyone in your group.

The Group Pass is invoiced monthly, and offers the same competitive commission rates as the individual pass - for more details please see the trade instructions below or contact the Travel Trade Team.

Regional Explorer Pass

This offers your clients a chance to visit all our properties within a specific region of Scotland over an unlimited time period; Orkney, Scottish Borders, Dumfries & Galloway.  Commission is available on Trade orders of more than 30 passes.  For further details please contact the Travel Trade Team.

Due to the number of sites closed over the winter period, the Orkney Pass is not available from October to March.
