Katy Dove Exhibition

Duff House, 26 July 2014 to 23 August 2014

Glasgow based artist Katy Dove works in a range of media including drawing, painting, animation, sound, printmaking and collage. The central theme of Katy’s work is the psychological, in particular perception, intuition, experience, thought and the subconscious.  This new exhibition at Duff House continues Katy’s preoccupation with the interplay between the architecture of a space and the display of artwork.

The space of this Georgian building is infused with both its past and present uses; from stately home, to sanatorium, and its current incarnation as a museum and exhibition space. Projected animations and a selection of works on paper and canvas have been carefully chosen and positioned within the symmetrical galleries. This enables works from different stages in Katy’s practice to be reframed relative to one another and within the architecture of the building.

This solo exhibition is part of GENERATION, a national programme of events celebrating contemporary art in Scotland that features the work of over 100 artists.

Time: 11.00am - 5.00pm

Cost: Included in admission costs
