About St. Margaret's Chapel

St. Margaret's Chapel is available for small intimate wedding ceremonies.

The beautifully preserved 12th century chapel is the oldest building in Edinburgh Castle and indeed in Edinburgh.

Royal Chapel

King David I built the building in 1130 as a private chapel for the royal family and dedicated it to his mother, Margaret, who died in the castle in 1093.
