Our Following in the Family Footsteps heritage trails are a quick guide to some of the wonderful historic sites linked to 15 famous Scottish clans. They can be printed out and used for ideas on a whole variety of great places for a day out. Each guide carries brief introductions to the clan and to some of the many fascinating characters linked to its history. There is also a map showing attractions operated by Historic Scotland, the National Trust for Scotland and the Historic Houses Association for Scotland which have connections to the clan. We hope you will find them informative and entertaining. You will also find free Following in the Family Footsteps leaflets at many of the sites which will tell you about yet more of the people from the clan’s past.
