The Mither Tongue - Scots Language Weekend

Stirling Castle,

A celebration of the Scots language. We are pleased to have Dr Chris Robinson from the Scots Language Dictionaries Ltd with her collection of Scots words many of which are forgotten .
She will invite visitors to contribute words and discuss regional variations . Take part in our quiz or dare to stand up and recite a Scots verse! Castle tours will be adapted using quotations from our many famous Scots writers who used the vernacular.

The table will be laid with food –but do you know what it is called in Scots ?
