St Peter's College

St Peter's College
St Peter’s College in Cardross is listed at category A in recognition of its national importance. Alterations to the building require listed building consent from the local authority.

Built in the 1960s as a seminary for the Archdiocese of Glasgow, it has lain empty since the 1980s.

Current Position

Its owner, the Archdiocese of Glasgow, has worked in partnership with Argyll and Bute Council and Historic Scotland for many years to identify a way to reuse the building.

In 2007 it commissioned a feasibility study by Avanti Architects, funded by Historic Scotland, to assess the building’s condition and potential future use.
