Sandford Award Winners 2006

We are delighted to announce that, after a thorough judging process by the Heritage Education Trust, both Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle have successfully achieved Sandford Awards for excellence in heritage education.

Education officers, Craig Fletcher and Kirsten Wood, collected the awards at a ceremony at Edinburgh Castle on 20 November 2006.


 

The awards are an independent quality assured assessment of heritage education within the historic environment.

Schools and other educational groups are encouraged to look for historic properties displaying the Heritage Education Trust logo to signify that they are Sandford Award holders and thus deliver a quality heritage education service.
