Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme

This fund provides financial assistance for area based regeneration and conservation initiatives undertaken by local authorities.

Assistance is either through support to establish a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) or through support for a Heritage Lottery funded Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI).

Funding

There is no funding available at present however alternative support may be available through our other funding streams; for example Historic Scotland’s Building Repair Grants Scheme.
