HLF Training Bursary Scheme 2006-2010

Following a £1 million award from the Heritage Lottery Fund  to the Technical Conservation Group and further funding from other bodies (Historic Scotland, Scottish Enterprise Glasgow), The HLF Training Bursary Scheme was established.

170 training opportunities will be divided up into one month satellite training bursaries to take up the new National Progression Award (NPA) Award in Conservation Masonry, and one year placements with other partners.

The focus of the training will be on traditional masonry construction with a particular focus on repair and maintenance. The project has significant potential to raise quality and standards in Scotland.

Applications are competitive and require suitable vocational skills or skills development potential.
