Types of Explorer Passes

The passes come in three flexible forms, to suit the length of your stay.

Adult - individual aged 16 and over.
Concession - adult aged over 60 or unemployed.
Child - aged 5 to 15 (under 5s admitted free).
Family - two adults plus two children aged 5 to 15.

Explorer Passes are also available at all staffed Historic Scotland properties and at Tourist Information Centres across Scotland.
