Printed Support Materials

Learning Services continues to renew its printed supported materials for teachers as part of the Investigating series.

The Investigating series offers valuable information on how a visit to our sites can support delivery of Curriculum for Excellence, provide ideas for pre- and post- visit activities, and include suggested tours.  Although the publications are written primarily for teachers, these support materials can be used by any group leader preparing for a site visit.

You can collect the full series, as it is produced, in your very own Investigating Historic Sites ring binder!  The following publications in the Investigating Series can be ordered by phoning 0131 652 8155 / 8156 .

  • Abbeys and Priories in Scotland
  • Edinburgh Castle
  • Mary Queen of Scots
  • Medieval Castles in Scotland
