The Historic Scotland Explorer Pass is available to buy online in advance or you can buy it in person at the first Historic Scotland property you visit.

The passes come in two flexible forms, to suit the length of your stay.

Adult:	Individuals aged 16-59 yrs
Concession:	Aged 60yrs+, Students in full time education (on production of valid ID), Unemployed (proof of Jobseekers Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Income Support required)
Child:	Aged 5-15 yrs (under 5s admitted free) *
Family:	Two adults plus up to 6 children aged 5-15 yrs

* Children must be accompanied by an adult.

How does the pass work?
For example: if you buy a ‘3 Day (over 5 days)’ pass it would be validated for five days at the first Historic Scotland property you visit and you can use it for any three days during the five day validity.
