From time-to-time our site requests information from users via competitions or surveys. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information.

The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as postal code). Contact information will not be shared with any third parties unless we give prior notice and choice. Though we may use an intermediary to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not use users' personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Competitions are not open to employees of Historic Scotland, their immediate families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion. No cash alternative is available. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Historic Scotland reserves the right to offer an alternative if the prizes offered are not available. Historic Scotland is not responsible for any entries which may be lost in transmission. Historic Scotland reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose competitions without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.

Rules relating to individual competitions will be posted in this section.

1. Entrants must be over 18.
2. Historic Scotland employees and their families are not eligible to enter.
3. To be eligible for the prize draw entrants will have text the word JUBILEE to 84118 including their name, house number and postcode
4. Only one entry per mobile number will be accepted
5. Entries must be received before midnight on 28th May 2012 to be included in the prize draw
6. There are 30 pairs of tickets to be won for each of the participating attractions. List of Participating Sites [PDF, 34kb]
7. The tickets are not category specific i.e. we are not specifying that they are for 2 adults, 1 adult and 1 child, 2 concessions etc.
8. Tickets will be allocated by postcode region to ensure a spread of tickets will be won across Scotland
9. The prize draw will take place on the 31st May 2012 and winners will be notified via text message after this date
10. To redeem the free tickets winners will need to take their winners notification text message to the site specified along with valid ID (Drivers License, Passport, Utility Bill)
11. The free tickets are only valid on Monday 4th June 2012 at the attraction specified in the winners text message
12. Historic Scotland reserves the right to reserves the right to use the winners names and or photos in PR surrounding the competition
