Exemptions

Our aim is to be as open as possible. However, FoI recognises that there may be valid reasons for withholding information by setting out a number of exemptions;.

These include but are not limited to:

• National security
• Health and safety
• Confidentiality
• Personal information

Where an exemption applies to requested information, we will make as much of the information available as possible.

If we do withhold information, we will tell you why. If you are not satisfied with our explanation, you can ask us to review our decision.
