How to Search for a Listed Building

Search Tips

The keyword search relates only to words forming part of the address of the listed building.

Commonly used words, such as "street" or "road", will produce large quantities of data, which may take some time to display.

Numbers similarly produce large results, and may be misleading: e.g. No. 5 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, will not display individually because it forms part of a terrace of houses included in the statutory address "1-11 (Inclusive Numbers) Charlotte Square".

The keyword "Charlotte", and Council Search "City of Edinburgh", will produce a manageable number of results, which can be scrolled, and the relevant entry selected.
