Landscape Management Plan Grants

Kellie Castle and Garden, Fife
Gardens and designed landscapes are a significant and fragile element of our historic environment.

Historic Scotland can award grants for the preparation of landscape management plans for sites included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.

Who can apply?

Applicants need to own or control all of the property and provide details of how long it has been in their or their family’s ownership.  In cases of divided ownership, you need to provide proof of whether there is general support for the production of a plan. Sites must be included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.

Criteria

We consider applications throughout the year on our Landscape Management Plan application form.  We can award grants at rates of up to 50% of the cost of preparing a plan prepared by a consultant who has an established record of such work with particular reference to historic gardens and landscapes.
